Salt Rock is a small unincorporated community located in the western part of Cabell County, West Virginia, United States. It is situated along the Guyandotte River and is about 20 miles southeast of Huntington. The name Salt Rock came from the principal product of the area in the early nineteenth century when it was known as Salt Lick District.
